Lakeside has it’s first in a series of benches
This bench is the first in a series of benches to be placed around town by the Chamber of Commerce beautification committee. Some benches will be donated by various organizations or private individuals and some will be hand made like this one.
Tic-Tac-Toe installed at ‘Funscape’
Volunteers from the Parks Advisory Community Garden Committee installed the tic-tac-toe fun board at the the city hall ‘funscape’. It is a continuing project undertaken by the PACG Committee.
“Grow Your Grub”

Flower spots about town
On a rainy April 28th morning the Parks Advisory/ Community Garden (PACG) members Robert O’Bryan, Diane O’Bryan, Michael Armstrong, and Mayor Rod Schilling, loaded twelve completed flower box’s from Don Linwoods cabinet shop to various Lakeside business who requested them. Kids in, dogs out
Gates have been installed at the “Funscape” playground, located at Lakeside city hall. It puts the finishing touch to the fencing, with the goal of keeping out sand loving dogs. Getting into the swing of spring
This year, Harmony garden has 20 raised beds available. As of this date there are five beds still available. “Funscape” fencing
Robert O’Bryan, Rudy Sherych, Michael Armstrong, Dennis Langley and the Shutters Correctional Facility work crew, installed nearly all the chain link fence at the new playground. This was accomplished during a huge downpour. The fencing and posts were donated by Bonneville Power.
Funscape, safety, more news from June Lakeside meeting
At the June, regular monthly Lakeside City Council meeting, Councilor Mack Eubanks reported on the Parks Advisory/Community Garden Committee.
