Eubanks, council stall appointment

Mack EubanksThe recent accident of Mayor Orville Nelson and his subsequent ongoing rehabilitation became the factor in postponing the top agenda item at the November Council meeting last Thursday.

The appointment of a replacement for the late Jim Brown and the behind the scenes maneuvering involved in the matter became topics of heated debate among citizens participating in the meeting. But it was not an issue for the council members and Eubanks, as the vote to postpone was unanimous.
