This bench is the first in a series of benches to be placed around town by the Chamber of Commerce beautification committee. Some benches will be donated by various organizations or private individuals and some will be hand made like this one.

An annual clean-up is sponsored by North County Citizens Patrol, Lakeside Community Association and Lakeside Disposal Service. The one day clean-up is scheduled for Saturday, June 5th. Volunteers from the Parks Advisory Community Garden Committee installed the tic-tac-toe fun board at the the city hall ‘funscape’. It is a continuing project undertaken by the PACG Committee.

The Second Annual Crawdad Festival organizer Mattie Lane, was all smiles at the regular Lakeside Chamber of Commerce meeting held after the Crawdad Festival. The second annual Lakeside Crawdad Festival was an even bigger success than last year. The 2009 festival boasted a crowd of around 7000, this year was estimated to be over 10,000. More pictures and Festival info to come
