Lakeside Mayor Gowan a “no show” at own city council work session
Mayor Gowan, at Thursdays February 9, city council meeting called for a “Work Session” to be held Thursday February 16, to discuss the City of Lakeside’s goals for the upcoming year. It was agreed to by the councilors present. The goal setting is a yearly meeting requirement.
Mayor Gowan, Councilor Naomi Parker and Ed Langley, failed to attend.
Councilor Elaine Armstrong was the only city councilor in attendance, along with City Administrator Charlie Hill, Wastewater Treatment Head Operator Ardith Lewis, Library Director Nadine Goodrich, and Street Superintendent Dennis Langley. Councilor Sue Allen, notified the City Administrator she was ill and could not attend, councilor Eubanks was working.
A goal setting meeting was held for over an hour while each department head submitted ideas, as did Councilor Armstrong.
I am not a gate keeper but I believe that if certain bloggers on this blog site want to point fingers at individuals and hold them under a microscope then all the elected officials should be equal. I would hope that Mr. Eubanks understands and agrees with this and understands that the citizens of Lakeside are aware how many meetings he has be absent from this past year.
As a blogger Tilly it is quite apparent that you seem to not care if certain councilors are present but do care if others are and if they are absent you are ready to condemn them for it.
The point I am trying to get across is if the bloggers on this website want to continue to point fingers and judge an individual for missing meetings then they need to look at the big picture and judge all not just the selective ones they choose to do so it is as hypocritical of them as they say others are. to not condemn others for things that they wanna accuse others of.

Maybe you should as well practice your own words instead of everyone worrying about others like you and many other bloggers look at yourselves first before judging others not one of us are perfect and anyone who thinks they are is lying not only to themselves but everyone else.

Stacy, Who are you kidding? You don’t care a flying flip about those on the council that disagree with you and yours, you only target and want to get rid of them. Even though they prove time after time their knowledge of the law and their supposrt for what is beneficial to all of Lakeside. You work tirelessly to support Naomi, Eddy and Gowan no matter what.

Don’t get worked up with Stacys last post. It wasn’t all him. Anytime you see paragraphs and punctuation, someone is helping him. It usually happens right after someone points out his writing difficulties.
I have known alot of other people with reading and writing difficulties, but their common sense was intact. I’m not sure Stacys is.
He cannot look at both sides of anything, thats the problem.
I still wish his knowledge was as big as his heart and desire. If it were, he could be an asset to Lakeside. But I haven’t seen it yet.
Thank you DUNN for proving, yet again, why you are NOT FIT TO SERVE! You heard around town? Seriously? The man has a JOB, (which is a concept I know you struggle with) that sometimes prevents him from serving on this City Council. The JOB is how he provides for his family. City Council is how he serves his communicty. Quit spreading rumors! Get a job. Volunteer. Do something to become a functional part of society. You don’t even know what meetings are mandatory, or open to the public? Just when I think you can’t possibly do ANYTHING to make yourself look worse, you dazzle and amaze..

Thank you for your efforts to make his commentary understandable. Will you be speaking for him at Council meetings if he is elected?
Well said KP, you are absolutely correct with your assessments Stacy Dunn is unfit to hold public office. Once again Stacy you fail to understand the crux of the article, it’s not that a single councilor missed this critical meeting, but rather that three councilors colluded to be absent from it. Stacy I leave you with these famous words of Abraham Lincoln “Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt”
