“Best of the Creek” Tenmile Creek Steelhead Derby & Smoked Salmon/Steelhead Competition
The sixth Annual Tenmile Creek Steelhead Derby sponsored by Ringo’s Marina, will be held January 14-15, 2012. So far 30 tickets have been sold. Tenmile Watershed Coordinator Mike Mader, “wants rain to raise the level of Tenmile Creek.” Fishing is good, with catches large and small steelhead.
Good fishing occurs with the water level 12 1/2 feet or above. Go to the Tenmile Watershed Basin Partnership website for monitoring.
The smoked fish competition is an added feature for this years tournament. Three judges have been selected: Mark Fleck from England Marine, Shawn Hanlin, Executive Director of Southern Oregon Culinary Institute and Andrew Moe from BiCoastal Media. Look below for details

LIMITED TO 3 ENTRIES PER FAMILY. $5 per entry.
JUDGING: ALL SUBMITTED SAMPLES WILL BE ASSIGNED A NUMBER AND JUDGES FROM ENGLUND MARINE, SOUTHWESTERN CULINARY INSTITUTE, AND BICOSTAL MEDIA WILL RANK SAMPLES.
