Dean Warners’ Agenda?
When people step into the public arena as Dean Warner has it is only fair that motives should be scrutinized as well as alliances. Just some simple observations of what has been said and done by Dean Warner this year are in order. It is pertinent, as Dean Warner seeks a position on the Lakeside City Council.
Direct quotes:
Dean Warner in Coast Lake News, October 12, 2011: ”I feel that I can bring a neutral view and an unbiased voice to the council.”
Also: In the Coast Lake News, October 19 issue, is a PAID ad for the “Concerned Citizens of Lakeside” meeting of October 29, 2011. The ad reads:
“Lakeside City Councilors Elaine Armstrong, Sue Allen, and Mack Eubanks are not working for the people of the community. Instead, they are defying the will of the people and the City Charter, operating out of their own prejudices and doing everything they can to stop the progress for which the people have voted.”
“Issues that have been discussed by the CCL include bringing recycling back to Lakeside, the state of Tenmile Lake (an economic foundation for the town), the possibility of a bicycle camp, City staff pay raises and benefits, and more. Bring your issues and concerns. Everyone is welcome. Questions? Call 541-759-4238.”
The phone number is Dean Warners’.
Dean Warner received one vote from the Lakeside City Councilors at the August meeting, in the first round of the appointment process in an effort to fill the vacancy left on the city council by Chrysta Swift’s resignation. (Councilor Parker has stated it was hers, she then changed her vote to Stacy Dunn for each additional ballot).
Dean Warners’ name is still being used as a “qualified candidate”. Yes, he is over 18, a registered voter, and Lakeside resident for greater than 30 days, but this ad says more.
He persists in the lie, even in the face of truth
He repeatedly approaches the council regarding City Administrator Charlie Hills, pay raise, even admitting to contacting the DA, only to be told there was no basis for his claim.
• He has previously said in CLN that his supporters number one issue was, “Charlie Hill had to go”.
• He is quoted in CLN saying “They didn’t have anyone else apply so they (the council) have no choice. They should have seated somebody last night. This is a big business and they’re operating it like a corner lemonade stand.”
Warner went to the Oregon Liquor Control Commission (OLCC) and said he represented the majority of Lakeside in not wanting Heidi Heller (the OLCC’s choice as the local agent), and was told by the board that he was being “less than truthful” and that the OLCC had received many more calls and letters in support of Heller. He then said the OLCC should be disbanded.
What is his agenda?
Are the examples above a portrait of his own prejudices?
Can he be trusted to be fair and impartial?
“Concerned Citizens Of Lakeside” Dean Warner as spokeperson
What is their agenda?
What does this political ad say about them?
If they do not have dues, membership fees or fundraisers, who paid for the ad?
Who does this “loosely based group” answer to?
With Dean Warner as spokesperson they have approached the OLCC and the Coos County Commissioners representing themselves as the voice of Lakeside. Do they represent you?
Are they using “loosely based group, with no board or officers” so they can work outside the parameter of rules and ethical behavior with no real accountability?
Why do only the same disgruntled Lakesiders reportedly go to their small meetings?
What is the recourse for the majority of Lakeside who do not want to be represented by them?
Conclusion
We conclude nothing, that is up to you. Simply ask:
Is Dean Warner the best for Lakeside?
Do you want the “Concerned Citizens of Lakeside” to represent you?

Warners agenda looks alot like the agenda of Gowen and Coast Lake News and the disgruntled.
Un-ethical
Im-moral
Un-fit to serve

I will not be represented by a person or group with qualities lower than a snakes belly. The integrity of a rattle snake. The mental fortitude of a gnat. Who has the intention to distroy the city I live in.
You Dean Druggie Warner and your group do not represent me. I am my own person and I will speak for myself. Please stay out of my business….
Geewiz
Dean Warner is a brazen bully, and a braggart. I would not trust him as far as could spit.
With his former (side) occupation, I do think it is fair to say he represents the HOMELESS people of Lakeside. Drugee Dean indeed!
Thanks again M. Smith for another fact based article. Dean Warner has absolutely zero scruples. A proven liar, manipulator, and ethic less windbag.
For Warner and Gowan, to intentionally attempt to persecute Charlie Hill, based on false evidence is reprehensible; I predict there will be a civil price for Warner, Gowan, Lloyd-Rogers and the Concerned Conspiritors to pay as a result.
Councilors Allen, Armstrong and Eubanks have proven over and over that they work tirelessly for the betterment of all Lakeside citizens; while Gowan, Warner and their ilk work for themselves.
I hope you three that are taking abuse by a small minority in the community understand that you have the majority of people behind you.
How sorry we feel that you are so beat up on for doing the right thing, it isn’t fair!
Please stay strong and know that you are respected by many.
