Lakeside has it’s first in a series of benches

This bench is the first in a series of benches to be placed around town by the Chamber of Commerce beautification committee.

Some benches will be donated by various organizations or private individuals and some will be hand made like this one.

This bench sits along the sidewalk leading to Harmony community garden and therefore has a gardening theme.  Another one of the same design will be placed near the library with a reading theme.

There are plans to place at least 6 benches around the downtown area in the next year.  The benches are part of the over all plan to make the downtown area more inviting to our citizens and any visitors who may be passing through.
