Mullanix, “guilty”

Donald Gerald Mullanix, long time resident of Lakeside,  was found guilty of aggravated theft, (B felony) ORS 164.057, not guilty of theft by receiving, (C felony) ORS 164.055.

A twelve person jury rendered their decision after a two day trial in Coquille, Oregon, Wednesday.

Mullanix was originally charged with four counts:

• Count one: first degree aggravated theft, a B felony.

• Count two: theft by receiving, a C felony.

• Count three: theft by receiving, a C felony, (dismissed prior to trial, July 21

• Count four: theft by receiving, a C felony, (dismissed prior to trial, April 16

Mullanix is scheduled for a sentencing and restitution hearing, June 29, 8:30 a.m. in Coquille, with Judge Stone presiding.

Originally, Mullanix came to the attention of Lakesideinfo.com when he was the focus in a sign dispute with the Lakeside Chamber of Commerce.
