Tenmile beach

At the regular March Lakeside city council meeting, Resolution 10-03 (Coos County parks beach improvement project) was agreed to.

The city of Lakeside and Coos County, according to Mike Mader, Tenmile Watershed Coordinator, “are co-sponsoring a grant application.”

In 2004 the beach idea started coming together with the groundbreaking in 2007. If the funding is received the project could be completed by September 15, of this year.

The sand for the beach is coming from the North sewer site and trucked to the beach. The beach site plan is much more than just sand. There are swim platforms, a volleyball court and a picnic table area.
