Lakeside water district advertising for water superintendent
At the regular Lakeside water board meeting last night, the board members reaffirmed their decision made several months ago, to seek a WD2 in treatment and WD2 in distribution, for plant superintendent.
Board member, Dennis Sargent, was instructed to interview the two most qualified applicants received to date. The position will continue to be advertised.
There was a leak in the water line on Queens Avenue and repaired. The board authorized the district engineer to draw up plans to modify the main tank lines, adding a second line, in the event the main line needed to be shut off.
If a future leak were to occur and a second line was in place, the water would continue to flow through the additional line servicing Lakeside.
A review of the water district policy and procedure manual will be conducted by Chairperson, Linda Sherych, and the water district’s Attorney John Trew. The recommendations will be presented at the next regular meeting.
