Controversial Lakeside citizen Donald G. Mullanix focus of theft ring

Lakeside is familiar with Donald Gerald Mullanix from his contentious actions in early November 2009. Lakesideinfo.com reported on a confrontation between Mullanix and Fire Chief Ted Ross.
The Lakeside Fire Department performed a public assist by removing controversial campaign signs, placed by Mullanix, marring the face of the Chamber of Commerce sign at the entrance to Lakeside, when a very angry Mullanix pushed Ross.
Mullanix in the news again
Numerous Coos County law enforcement agencies consisting of:
• South Coast Inter-agency Narcotics Team
• Oregon State Police
• Coos County Sheriff’s Office
• Parole and Probation
All were involved in arresting three individuals for first-degree theft by receiving, first-degree theft by selling, first-degree aggravated theft and various drug related offenses.
Officers executed several search warrants looking for stolen property and controlled substances.
Arrested so far
Arrested, as a result of on going burglary investigations and the service of numerous search warrants, was Bradley V. Mullanix, 33, residing at 93573 Ranch Lane, Hauser, Cathryn E. Feskanich, 47, of North Bend, and Ryan Milburn, 28, of North Bend.
Numerous items of stolen property and controlled substances were seized.
Lakeside resident Donald G. Mullanix residing at 140 Fifth Street, Lakeside, grandfather of Bradley Mullanix, became the focus of the investigation after it was reported he had purchased all the stolen rare coins from the residential burglary of Glenn Amsberger, Coos Bay, valued at over $100,o00.
Searches
Don Mullanix had his residence searched on three different occasions in the course of the investigation, with numerous items of stolen property seized from his residence, as a result of the searches.
After a consent search on January 8, 2010, Donald Mullanix admitted to having purchased stolen coins (in hypothetical terms) for $13,000.
On January 9, 2010 Donald G. Mullanix delivered over $40,000 in stolen coins to investigators in a shed near the abandoned tavern located at the north entrance of Highway 101 and Wildwood Drive, Hauser.
On January 11, 2010 Detective Scott Moore affirms in a search warrant affidavit that he believed Donald Mullanix, is involved in the crime of theft by receiving, at his residence located at 140 North Fifth Street, Lakeside.
A search warrant was issued to search the premises on January 11, 2010.
Rare coins valued at over $2,000, coin books, coin guides, and three rifles were seized as a result of the search warrant.
Detectives returned again to Donald G. Mullanix’s residence with a search warrant on January 19, 2010, reportedly more items were seized.

No charges have been filed at this time against Donald G. Mullanix, but investigators state that more arrests are anticipated.
