At the regular Lakeside Community Association meeting Thursday night, Tara Poole resigned as President and Lona Owens, having been the vice-president, is now President.
Helen Lyman resigned as secretary, with Jonie Reader previously member-at-large, taking over to perform the duties of secretary.
A workshop was held with board members from the Lakeside Citizen Patrol and Lakeside Community Association the day before the regular meeting. The minutes from the workshop reflect the goals of both boards.
It was announced at the open regular meeting that a mutual agreement was reached and Sandy Thayer stated that things were “back to normal.”
A motion was made by Joshua Cox and carried by a 4-3 vote that “LCA and LCP would work together and LCP would get the car back.”
Board member Calvin Walker, when asked why he had voted “nay” stated, the motion did not contain any of the things “agreed to in the workshop.”
A question came from the floor as to what made the LCP want out from under LCA oversight? Stacy answered that the LCP wanted to buy things for the car and food booth that the LCA board wouldn’t approve.
LCA has ordered new radios for the patrol and they should be here soon.
President Lona Owens, said, “they are a work in progress.”
