Lakeside Water Board candidate statements

The Water District has two positions open. There is only one announced candidate for each. Their statements follow. These races appear on Lakeside ballots, now in voter’s hands. .

Linda Sherych

My name is Linda Sherych. My husband Rudy and I have lived in Lakeside for 35 years where we raised our two daughters. I work full time as a telemetry unit secretary in the Intensive Care Unit at Bay Area Hospital. I have been involved with the Water District for almost 32 years, first on the budget committee for three years and then as a Board member. Over the years the Board has worked hard to deliver quality water to our customers, to plan for the future needs of the Water District and to make sure our plant meets all codes. If re-elected I would continue to do so.

Janet Swinford

I have lived in lakeside fifteen years and loved every minute of it. I believe we have a wonderful community full of people who give of themselves to make Lakeside a great place to live. I recently was appointed to serve on the Lakeside Water Board and am now running for election to that position. I work seasonally as a tax preparer licensed by the State of Oregon. My prior work experience in supervisory and management positions included planning and controlling budgets, personnel requirements, workflow, and operations. These skills will be an asset to me as I volunteer my services to the citizens of Lakeside. I believe in open communication, cooperation, and commitment. I am will to do the necessary work, research, and other assignments that come with the position. Thank you for this opportunity and for your vote.
