Friends and Neighbors Of Lakeside:
Hello, let me take a moment to introduce myself name is Stacy Joe Dunn, and I am a local citizens of Lakeside and a Volunteer of the LRFPD as well as the Lakeside citizens Patrol where I am the Patrol leader.
I have lived in the are for 3 yrs and enjoy helping and serving the citizens of our community in anyway I can. I believe that in order for people to receive respect from their community they need to give it. That’s why I am asking you to help me in my quest to become the next director for the Lakeside Fire dept. Position #4.
With all due respect to our ex-Fire Chief Mr. Calvin Walker, I would like to say thank you so much for all your years of service and duty but I feel at this time it is time for change and a fighter such as myself is willing to help bring that change for the better.
If I am elected to the position I would like to let all of the community members know that I will stand up and fight for our brave volunteers. I will help see that they get the recognition they deserve and that all of our volunteers are given the same chances. I will do this by working close with other board members and the fire chief himself to ensure that all guidelines are being fallowed according to NFPA standards as well as all state and federal guides.
As a volunteer I know what its like and what it takes to see the department grow, and I believe that it starts with a new fresh board as we all know Lakeside has been in the media with so much bad publicity lately I have been there and seen it and know why and I will not allow anyone to be treated in an unfair manner, so I ask for everyone ones support and helping bring change and fairness back home to the Lakeside Fire Dept.

RFPD Director – Position 5, a 4 year term, two candidates, Glen A. Muncy and Bill Usrey
.
Glen A. Muncy
.
My name is Glen A. Muncy, some of you might remember me from the days when I was the fire department day chief in the late 70′s to the late 80′s. I moved from Lakeside in 97′ and two years ago relocated back to Lakeside.
I was truly amazed and overwhelmed by the expansion of the building and the equipment. In my day Hauser was the department that we looked up to, now we are right up with them.
I agree with the training program that is being offered to the volunteers and just want to help wherever I can. I am proud to be a part of the department.
I am retired from Weyerhauser and long-haul trucking. I hope to help make a difference. Thank you for your vote.

Charles H. Nelson
I have been a resident of Lakeside for the past 3 and 1/2 yrs.
I am a retired law enforcement officer of 29 years: the first 3 years were with the Kern County Sheriff’s Office in Calif., followed by 26 years with the California Highway Patrol.
My second choice of a career would have been that of a firefighter.
As a law officer,we worked closely with various fire departments.
At this chapter of my life, I feel I can in this way contribute something to my community. If elected, I will serve to the best of my ability.
