Garbage rate increase

The city council agreed to an increase in Lakeside Disposal’s current rate at the regular Thursday night council meeting.

Lakeside has approximately 80% of the population using the standard 35 gallon can. They can expect a 2.6% increase to $16.97, a $.43 hike. All others will be increased by 3.3%.

In response to the question raised by Diane O’Bryan about the relocation of the recycling bins, now located at city hall, Lakeside Disposal is most willing to help in the consideration of other locations. Criteria is easy access for both truck and the public.
