It’s a crawdad happening
Event: Friday, May 8th through Sunday, May 10th
If your interest is in cooking, or eating or even both, this is the event for you.
Lakeside can boast of being a destination resort area offering a variety of water fun, fishing, and has an ocean only two miles away.
But, Lakeside can also boast of recently located residents that haven’t retired to do their own thing, but to do their community a favor.
They bring their best, and demonstrate what can be done when you pool your resources and expertise. They are willing to step up and spend sweat capital to show off their community.
It isn’t often that long time residents and new arrivals can come together with old and new ideas to create what is likely to be an annual draw of visitors from far and wide.
One of the organizer’s Mattie Lane, is proud to call Lakeside home after retiring and moving here 6 years ago. Others, like her, having lived in Lakeside approximately the same length of time want to make a difference in helping Lakeside grow.
