The Lakeside Rural Fire Protection District News will be produced monthly, starting in March.

The Board of Directors voted at our February 16th meeting, to dispense with mailings and concentrate on developing a monthly newsletter.

In addition, organizations and businesses will have the opportunity to advertise their events and specials in a timelier manner.

Those wishing to advertise may do so by contacting Editor, Darline Atkin at 759-2356. Business card size ads will cost $5.00 per issue.

Flyers we print up for you, in black print on white paper and inserted, will cost $10.00 per issue.

If you wish to print your own flyers on colored paper or with colored print, you may submit them by the 20th, to be inserted in the newsletter. See below for approximate number needed.

Beginning March, this newsletter may be picked-up at the following locations:

  • McKay’s Market
  • Lakeshore Lodge
  • The Olde Stables
  • 8th St. Grill
  • Mary’s Beauty & Barber Shop
  • Lakeside Towing & Repair
  • City Hall, Library, & Water District
  • Hwy 101 Tree Acres Shell, Usrey’s Rock Bin & RV and mobile home parks.

We will be looking for volunteers to assemble, fold and deliver. Please contact 759-2356 if you wish to volunteer your services.

As we progress with this monthly newsletter, please bear with us as we may vary the size and/or folds, which may vary depending on the pages involved at each printing.

We will continue to print it on light blue paper. However, we are going “Green” by printing 800 (rather than the 1150 when mailed). Publish date will be close to end of each month with next months news items & ads, submitted by the 20th.

Thank you for your attention,

Darline Atkin is an elected board member of the Lakeside Rural Fire Protection District and the LRFPD editor
