A committee is looking at ways to keep law enforcement in Lakeside

The subject of keeping Officer Scott on the job in Lakeside beyond early summer was broached by Diane O’Bryan at the January city council meeting. O’Byran feels that it should be a priority and others are in agreement.
Several in attendance at the city council meeting are interested in serving on a committee that will look into creative ways to keep officer Scott Moore on the job in Lakeside.
There have been several that have committed to contributing to the cost of keeping officer Scott here. Also, it was suggested that the county be approached concerning their obligation to Lakeside given that Lakeside is a part of the taxpaying county.
The committee is expected to report at the February meeting.
