As a result of Sandy Thayer leaving as volunteer director of Kid Zone on February 1, the program will be disbanded. According to Thayer, Kid Zone suffers from having no tax exempt status, no board of directors, and too few sources of funds. Lakeside City Council member Timothy Crockett may be investigated by the State of Oregon Government Ethics Commission for allegations of corruption, Lakesideinfo.com has learned.
The allegations were alleged mainly from incidents coming last year. They surround Crockett’s alleged intimidation of citizens with the abatement officer powers of the city, using his position to benefit family relatives, and even gaining financially by threatening an absentee land owner with a fine that he, Crockett, would end up being paid for instead to do the clean up work. Osprey Point Fire On Saturday, January 10, Lakeside Volunteer Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire at 1505 North Lake Road, at Osprey Point, reported as “one of the cabins”.
