Lakeside Lions shine during the holidays
The upcoming holidays will be a lot brighter in Lakeside, thanks to local volunteers who are part of the Lakeside Lion’s Club efforts to bring community spirit to the area.
Those events include a free Thanksgiving dinner for all, as well as Christmas related events highlighted by a Christmas food basket and a Christmas event on Dec. 19th, with Christmas carols performed by Kids Zone volunteers and, of course, Santa.
The Lions Club epitomizes the noble spirit of helping people in the community. All are welcomed to become involved in the club or to help on specific projects. In addition to the list below, LakesideInfo.com will publish all the Lion’s Club events in our calendar at the top right of the front page so you’ll be reminded as they come about.

Upcoming Lakeside Lions Community Events
Thanksgiving day: Free dinner for the community from 11-3. If you would like, bring an unwrapped toy or canned item for our families in need. If you know of anyone that cannot get out to the dinner, we’ll deliver a hot meal to them. Call Madeline at 759-2374 for more information.
Christmas – Santa social. Friday, December 19th at 6 p.m. Free hot dogs and ice cream for all. See the Kids Zone kids perform Christmas songs on stage. Santa will also arrive with lots of toys for all good boys and girls in the Lakeside and Hauser area. Doors will not open until 6 p.m.
Anyone needing a food basket for Christmas, please call Madeline at 759-2374 or Denise Chaves at 759-4109. You must call to reserve your basket for pick-up on Dec. 20th. Parents with young children will be considered first.
Lakeside Lions bingo is every Saturday night. Doors open at 5 p.m. Bingo starts at 6:30. This is a family bingo. Children six and older are welcome.
The Lakeside Lions meet the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. Come and join – have fun. Help us to help others. For information, contact Lion Madeline, Membership Director, Lions Serve!
