James David “Jim” Brown

76, of Lakeside, died Sept. 7, 2008, in Lakeside. Arrangements are pending with Nelson’s Bay Area Mortuary, 267-4216.  

Brown was a Lakeside icon, teacher and historian. He contributed many stories that found there way into the book published by Edna Skinner, “The Heart of Lakeside.”  City Recorder Charlie Hill couldn’t find record of a time before Brown had served. Meeting minutes dating back to 1989 include items about Brown’s contributions.
